Volvo renews partnership with British Sailing | Ray Chapman Volvo

Volvo has renewed its long-term partnership with the RYA, the national body for sailing in the UK.

Volvo will retain its role as Official Car Partner, providing investment and support across the RYA’s Junior, Youth and Olympic Classes Programmes through until March 2021, and marking the 20th anniversary of support for RYA activity in the year that the iconic Volvo Ocean Race returns to British shores.

The RYA are the organisation behind the British Sailing Team and British Youth Sailing Team, through to the Tokyo Olympics in 2020.

With a fleet of cars from across the range, Volvo will support sailors and coaches as they train and race across the UK and Europe, transporting people, boats and equipment in comfort, safety and style.

In return, Volvo branding will be used on all sails, clothing and team kit, with a significantly increased prominence. British Sailing Team members will be available to support Volvo Car UK and dealer events and will act as brand ambassadors through social media channels.

In addition to this, the RYA Affinity Scheme will continue with active promotion to over 110,000 personal members across the UK.

The renewal comes just before the 2017-2018 Volvo Ocean Race kicks-off in Alicante, Spain, heading to Cardiff for a stopover in May 2018. The race village will create a focal point for the world of sailing, attracting visitors from across the UK and providing an exciting branded experience for prospects, customers and other guests. More information on how you can get involved will follow in the New Year.
