Family owned, family run, we have been with Volvo since 1969. Continually recognised for delivering outstanding customer service we have been awarded Volvo Retailer of the Year, on numerous occasions, the latest being in 2022.
In February 2023 we acquired two further Volvo dealerships in Bradford and Huddersfield - making Ray Chapman Motors one of the largest family-owned Volvo retailer groups in the UK. Following months of work and huge investment, we relocated the Bradford site in October 2023 to a brand-new state-of-the-art dealership on Canal Road, Bradford BD1 4SR and more recently our Huddersfield site on Leeds Road has undergone a complete refurbishment.
At our centre is our people. We couldn’t consistently achieve outstanding customer service without our extremely loyal, and dedicated workforce of approximately 230 people. They really are the beating heart of the business which keeps us ahead of our competitors and at the forefront of our customer's minds when they think of Volvo. Trust is probably one of the most important factors when buying a new or used Volvo and is the number one reason we have many customers who come back year after year.

"I have worked for Volvo for over 6 years having started in 2018 as Apprentice Technician. It took me 2 years to get my Level 2 Apprenticeship and then another two years for Level 3. I then took on the position of Service Advisor for two years. In 2024 and under the new ownership of Ray Chapman Motors I was promoted to Workshop Controller/Andon at the brand new site on Canal Road in Bradford. Our new state-of-the-art workshop facility provides the perfect space for us to look after our customers and their Volvos."
