Volvo Car UK is proud to announce it is the lead sponsor of RunFestRun, the new running and music family camping festival presented by Chris Evans and his broadcasting sidekick Vassos Alexander. "The nation's big new running party" will take place over three days at the end of May, celebrating running, fitness and wellbeing with events, live music and a friendly festival vibe.

The support for RunFestRun is perfectly aligned with Volvo's human-centred thinking and its desire to help people explore and enjoy active lifestyles and the great outdoors. The same spirit is also witnessed in Volvo's recently announced partnership as official vehicle supplier to British Triathlon, and its brand heritage of working with events and organisations that demonstrate a sense of adventure that embraces, respects and protects the world around us.

For anyone who enjoys running, from gentle family parkruns to serious marathon competition, Volvo's model range provides ideal transport. Its latest, multi-award-winning SUVs and estate cars in particular are perfectly equipped to tackle all roads, from city streets to wilder terrain, while providing plenty of space to carry all the kit required. There's also a wide range of special accessories to suit all kinds of outdoor pursuits, from specially designed cycle carriers and spacious roof boxes to tough load compartment liners when bulky, wet or dirty equipment needs to be stowed.

The first RunFestRun will take place from 31 May to 2 June 2019 at Bowood House and Gardens in Wiltshire. Clubs, friends, families and individuals will be able to enjoy the pleasure of running, with a series of events to suit all abilities – first-timers and experienced runners alike – including 2.5k, 5k and 10k routes, and a half marathon.

The entertainment programme will include lively presentations on sports, health, fitness and wellbeing by a host of experts, including some of Britain's best-known athletes. The live stage will also host top music acts and there will be a special area dedicated to kids' activities. Festival-goers will be able to camp on site and everyone taking part will be assigned to one of four teams, earning points through the weekend's programme to add a fun competition element to the occasion.
