Sales Manager celebrates 25 years at our family business

Mike Hall, our Malton Sales Manager is celebrating 25 years at Ray Chapman Motors. Mike joined the business in 1994, when he sold his first car – a Volvo 340 – to a young couple from Pickering.

Since then the team has grown with Mike, celebrating several huge milestones during his time as Sales Manager, including being crowned Volvo’s Dealer of the Year in 2006, and a multi-million pound refurbishment in 2015 to become a Volvo Retail Experience retailer, complete with Scandinavian-designed furniture, free Wi-Fi and Swedish cakes and coffee.

Mike lives in Malton with his wife and one of his three sons, spending his time outside of work walking their dog, Bella, around Castle Howard and Cayton Bay.

Mike said: “I still can’t quite believe it’s been 25 years, it’s absolutely flown by.

“I think this anniversary is truly a testament to the amazing team, and lovely customers I get to meet every day in my job.

“We’ve celebrated some extraordinary successes over the years, and it’s been fantastic to see a small, family-run business receiving such prestigious national recognition, while maintaining its family credentials.

“Fingers crossed for the next 25 years!”
