Ardent Volvo driver Keith Taylor took delivery of his 20th Volvo model in December 2017.
Having clocked up 42 years as a customer with Ray Chapman Motors in Malton, Keith’s 20th Volvo in as many years will be a Volvo V40 T2 Momentum.
Keith’s first car from the Swedish manufacturer was a Volvo 144 delivered by Ray Chapman Motors then employee Mr R Bentley on 21st June 1975 for which he paid the princely sum of £1,865.
Since then, Keith has driven a number of cars from across the Volvo range over the years including the 244 model part of the 240 series which followed on from the 144 in the late 70s; a 245 (the fastest estate in turbocharge form when it arrived in 1981) in the mid-80s; by the end of the decade Keith had opted for a 745; by the mid-1990s the 855 had become Keith’s model of choice; into the 21st century and Keith could be found behind the wheel of a V70 and the models more familiar to today’s dealers and customers; he took to the road in three different C30 models, Volvo’s luxury compact; after which he opted for the V40 D2 SE in 2014 prior to taking delivery of his new car.
Commented Keith: “Throughout the 42 years I have been a customer of Ray Chapman Motors I have received a flawless service which has always been courteous and efficient as well as friendly. I have not experienced such high levels of customer care elsewhere and it exists in all the dealership’s departments.”
Commented Dealer Principal Duncan Chapman: “It has been a pleasure to welcome Keith and his wife Eslpeth year after year and to upgrade his Volvo every few years over the past two decades. We pride ourselves on providing the very best customer care and Keith’s testimony reflects the standards we try and achieve and a daily basis. Keith is practically a walking encyclopaedia on the Volvo heritage and its transformation into the high-tech, extremely safe and very stylish cars which adorn our showroom today. We are looking forward to providing Keith with the same exemplary service for many more years to come.”
