This year marks the 10th anniversary of the Pride of Malton and Norton Awards and we are very proud to be nominated in the category of Established Business. Run by a volunteer local team, the awards have grown over the years into a prestigious occasion to celebrate local community and business heroes.
Mandy West, from The Handy Mag, has been organising the awards since the very beginning.
Mandy says “The aim has always been to celebrate those inspirational local people who make Malton and Norton a great place to live and work. It has been a real pleasure to be involved and see these people rewarded.”
The awards are funded entirely by support from local businesses and over the years thousands has been raised for local charities with raffles and auctions on the night. In 2018, £2400 was raised for Candlelighters and Sight Support Ryedale and in 2019 the chosen charities are Ryedale Special Families and Camphill Village Trust.
The awards ceremony will be held on Saturday 26th October at York House Marquee at The Talbot which provides a glittering backdrop to a great evening.
