Ray Chapman Motors Celebrates Exceptional Achievements at Volvo Apprentices Graduation Day​​

This momentous occasion celebrated the hard work and dedication of two outstanding team members, Matthew Kemp and Leah Drake, who have both excelled in their respective roles.

Matthew Kemp: A Rising Star in Automotive Excellence

Matthew Kemp, a Technician based at Ray Chapman Motors in Malton, was honoured at the graduation ceremony on December 12th, where he received his Technician Qualification. In a thrilling announcement during the event, Matthew was also named the Winner of the Volvo UK Apprentice of the Year 2024. Since joining Ray Chapman Motors in 2018 as a Service Driver, Matthew's unwavering commitment and diligence have been evident. Despite the challenges posed by a paused training period due to COVID-19, Matthew’s resilience and passion for the automotive industry have propelled him to this prestigious recognition, which includes an exciting trip to Sweden.

Leah Drake: Excellence in Customer Service

Leah Drake is a dedicated Service Advisor at Ray Chapman Motors in York and was also celebrated at the Graduation Day. She received her “Customer Service Advisors” qualification from Paul Lay, Head of Training at Volvo Cars UK. Leah’s high scores, outstanding work ethic, and positive feedback from her mentors earned her an invitation to the event, as well as a trip to Sweden. Her achievement reflects the commitment to exemplary customer service that Ray Chapman Motors champions.
