Tim Marrison, who has been General Manager of Ray Chapman Motors York since 2017, will be taking on a testing 12km run through 10 tonnes of ice and 100 tonnes of mud at Total Warrior in order to raise money for IDAS, Yorkshire’s Independent Domestic Abuse Services.
For over 40 years the IDAS has provided refuge accommodation and support services to help victims and survivors of domestic abuse and sexual violence. The largest specialist charity in Yorkshire, it supports over 5,000 individuals and families each year to live safe lives free from abuse and violence.
Tim has already raised a fantastic £685 of his £2,500 target for the charity, one which is very close to his heart.
Tim said: “I’m absolutely delighted to be raising money for the IDAS.
“The charity does fantastic work to support victims of domestic abuse right here in Yorkshire, so it’s incredibly important to me to be supporting all the amazing work they do to help those in difficulty within our community.
“My team members at Ray Chapman Motors have been very supportive, and their donations have made a huge impact on the fundraising total, so I can’t thank them enough for all their help. I’m just counting down the days until the run now!”
