Charging the way – Ray Chapman Motorso launches its most sustainable fully electric model yet
Ray Chapman Motors in Bradford, Huddersfield, Malton and York has launched its smallest ever pure electric SUV – giving drivers an eco-friendly and efficient alternative to petrol.
This has expanded its range of fully electric cars for Yorkshire drivers by welcoming its most sustainable model yet – the Volvo EX30.
Despite being the smallest car in Volvo’s line-up, the EX30 is capable of travelling up to 298 miles on a single battery charge. With the battery able to charge from 10 to 80% capacity in as little as 26 minutes, drivers can be assured of a quick and convenient recharge – perfect for those busy days spent commuting or running errands.
The EX30 also promises the fastest acceleration of any Volvo car ever, with the twin-motor performance version capable of 0-62mph in just 3.6 seconds.
Building on Volvo Cars’ mission to be a fully electric car manufacturer by 2030, the EX30 has been built on a new pure-EV platform and has been developed with a focus on achieving a smaller carbon footprint than any previous Volvo car.
Designed to make greater use of recycled materials in its construction, the EX30 also benefits from close scrutiny to reduce lifecycle carbon emissions, from material sourcing to supply chain operations, manufacturing processes and end-of-life disposal.
Complimenting the car’s urban-friendly exterior is an ultra-modern interior that features a large 12.3-inch touchscreen with built-in Google functions and wireless smartphone integration. Ensuring every drive hits the right note, a Harman Kardon premium audio system – featuring a new soundbar that extends across the width of the dashboard – comes as standard, as does Volvo’s air-purification system, heated front seats and steering wheel, putting comfort at the heart of every journey.
The EX30 will be ready to drive in early 2024, with prices starting at £33,795, making it more affordable than many rivals.
Duncan Chapman, Managing Director at Ray Chapman Motors, said: “We’re delighted to welcome the Volvo EX30. The car is available to order now, and brings together Volvo Cars’ established strengths in electrification, safety and design without compromise in a convenient, compact package.
“We’d like to invite drivers to come along to Ray Chapman Motors to learn more about the EX30, as well as discovering more about its authentic approach to improving sustainability and lowering carbon emissions.”
