Available at Ray Chapman Motors, this official software upgrade has been developed by Polestar in collaboration with Volvo Cars and is installed by Volvo-trained technicians. Importantly, your manufacturer warranty, service intervals, fuel consumption and emission levels remain unaffected.

Faster Throttle Response
The throttle has been precisely recalibrated to react more immediately to driver input, delivering sharper responsiveness, greater precision and a more connected driving feel.
Faster Gear Changes
The automatic transmission has been optimised for quicker, smoother shifts, enhancing acceleration and responding more precisely to driver inputs — particularly during manoeuvres such as downshifting to overtake.
Better Gear Precision & Hold
The gears have also been calibrated to exploit the engine's improved midrange performance. The gearbox also avoids changes when cornering at high g-forces (where possible) for better stability.
Enhanced Gear & Engine Response
The engine and transmission have been finely tuned to react more immediately when the accelerator is released, creating a more balanced and controlled feel — particularly during cornering and dynamic driving situations.
Increased Engine Performance
Power delivery has been optimised where it matters most — in the mid-range — providing stronger, more confident acceleration for overtaking and motorway driving. Combined with sharper throttle response and quicker gear changes, this results in a noticeably more dynamic and engaging drive.
Polestar AWD Feature
This feature is now included in all new optimizations for AWD vehicles. It can also be retroactively added to existing vehicles with the optimization through Service Promise, Total Upgrade, or Volvo Selekt Software. The upgrade enhances torque distribution to the rear wheels of Volvo AWD cars, delivering a more dynamic and engaging driving experience.
