Spare key missing on delivery. However it was replaced. The sales rep and all the staff involved were courteous and attentive. The sales rep concerned had only been with the dealership one week but had a good grasp of all relative matters

Dealing with Ray Chapman Motors was a pleasure. I think the reason for this is that they are a privately owned business and not part of a large dealership. I love the dealership but do think the heater controls could be made easier to operate on my C30

I was pleased with the spead. An estimate for the works was faxed to my insurer so that approval could be obtained and the repairs were quickly carried out.

I know Duncan Chapman and respect him and his business ethics.I like Volvo,I have done over 500,000 miles in them. This is my fifth.
When I buy something I buy a package. I was thinking of buying a Audi Q5 but i dislike the dealership arrogance. Chapman provide a very good all round service. I feel that if I have a problem and had to escalate it to Duncan ,he would deal with it.

Ray Chapman Motors is a damned good firm and well worth the 25 miles drive to get to them, though there are others nearer. It is one of the few motor firms that I have felt I can trust during my nearly 60 years of motoring.

We dealt with Rory Queen as the sales consultant. I have to say that he was exceptionally good and patient with a number of questions and changing criteria. In fact, in almost 25 years of driving, the experience of buying a car through him was the best so far. If only all car sales consultants were like this!!

The sales person Rory was very good and the atmosphere was professional but relaxed.
I have two problems at the moment but have not informed Chapmans yet as they will get done at the three month service. The memory seat does not always work and there is a rattle coming from the boot.

The Salesman, Neil Sutton was very good and dealt with us in a friendly manner. We would be happy to deal with contrast to the Volvo Dealership in Bradford where the Sales lady did not see fit to get back to us. I think she had wasters. Neil on the other hand was happy for us to 'waste' his time.

I am the proprietor of a Boarding Kennels and Catery and I find it very difficult to leave the premises for a length of time.
Ray Chapman Motors very kindly collect my car for servicing and general repairs and deliver it back the same day. This is really helpful to me. I do not know how I would manage otherwise. I have had four Volvo's from Ray Chapman Motors and I would not go anywhere else.

The Volvo C30 I purchased was reasonably priced in Ray Chapman Motors. I would not normally travel so far to collect a repacement car. The description on the internet site was a true reflection of the car I purchased. The sales team were helpful and friendly but the follow up call never happened. The C30 has met my expectations both in terms of economy, performance and look. A very happy Volvo owner.

When choosing a Volvo it is because Chapman still have a personal feel to their place. Its the dealership more than the car. I was really wanting an Audi this time but felt that unless I was a fleet buyer they weren't bothered. The same with VW and Jags. This is in an area of North of York where there are a multitude of car dealers. Mr Chapman runs a nice team both at York and at Malton and good luck to him

Great friendly staff even though they do support rubbish football teams. IE Everton ( Mike) and Sunderland ( Rory).
Could do with biscuits to go with the coffee which is always available.
All in all we have never had any problems in the years we have been Volvo owners. Here's to many more years

Staff are polite, smart and knowledgable. Car was booked in for routine service and repairs to knocking exhaust pipe. The engineer could not find the knock but took the time to phone me and discuss the problem. Which he then found and repaired at no additional cost. In my mind you can not beat the levels of advice. First class in every way.

This is my third Volvo XC70- the last two of which have been purchased from Ray Chapmans of Malton, North Yorkshire. From beginning to end my experience as a customer has been first vote both in terms of sales and service, throughout my contact with a range of staff. In truth I can not praise it too highly. My experience of buying a Volvo has been mixed. On one hand the lead time for the delivery of the car took 6 weeks to two months before finally being delivered after almost 5 months.
On the other hand the dealership was excellent and went the extra mile to ensure that they helped me out during the waiting period. (Including the Dealer Principal giving me the use of his personal car for a family touring holiday.)
I have no hesitation in recommending Ray Chapman Motors it is a shame however they are only main dealers for Volvo.
