RAY CHAPMAN MOTORS and the VOLVO DEALER OF THE YEAR AWARD

Every year, Volvo Cars U.K. run an award scheme for the Volvo Dealer of the Year. Ray Chapman Motors are pleased and proud to be, once again , at the top of the table. Over the past ten years we have won it twice and come in the top ten a further three times. For 2008 we have made it into third place which can only be described as a very creditable performance when you consider that there are at least 104 dealerships out there chasing the prize.

For the un-initiated amongst us, the Dealer of the Year scheme, consists of a number of criteria that have to be met by dealers throughout the franchise based in the U.K. A scoring system operates and throughout the year the points are accumulated to bring healthy competition into the business.

We at Ray Chapman Motors, have dealt with Volvo for over thirty five years and are proud to maintain an extremely high  profile with the franchise. But in order maintain our relationship with Volvo we have to meet the strict demands of the manufacturer and the strictest of these is customer service. We pride ourselves on our service and friendly but business like approach to all our customers.

In order to stay within the top rankings of Volvo Dealerships, we strive to meet all the criteria required. Good Customer Service; Sales and Profit Performance; After Sales Performance; Parts and Spares Performance. It would not benefit us within the scheme to be good at one level but incapable at another. Volvo check regularly to make sure that our customers are satisfied with our approach to everything from selling a car to supplying of spare parts. We are also judged on our overall approach to the business which means that our showroom and workshop standards have to be maintained to high standard, our staff are judged on all levels and management come under constant scrutiny.
